From Tears to Triumph: Utahns Unite to Honor the True Meaning of Memorial Day

On May 30, 2023, Utahns flocked to various locations throughout the state to observe Memorial Day.

In addition to cemeteries and veterans' homes, there were events at the state Capitol.

At the ceremony at the state Capitol, Gov. Spencer Cox and U.S. Rep. Blake Moore were present.

The Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument witnessed a 21-gun salute, and a wreath was placed there.

Half-staff was flown for the Utah State Flag while the Utah National Guard Band played patriotic songs.
